Hypnosis is one of the most effective way of giving up smoking. However, willpower to give up counts.
Smokers are coming under increasing pressure to quit. The mortality rate for smokers is twice as high as for nonsmokers, and that, on average, a smoker dies 6 years earlier than a nonsmoker.
Hypnosis is not a miracle cure for smoking. Everyone is different and responds differently. Hypnosis can bring about change deep in your unconscious (subconscious) mind - the place where bad habits form, such as smoking. This is because, often, the urge to smoke is still felt at a deeper level – deeper than the conscious mind is aware of.
Hypnotherapy is a good method of quitting smoking, but it doesn't have to be exclusive. If you choose to use patches, pills, gum, etc and self hypnosis as part of the whole process - then that's fine. There are a wealth of free CD to stop smoking NOW! However as any other tools these are limited because they do not address to your specific system and way of life. More often smoking is associated with having a break, having a time for your self, mixing with your own way of living your life. And that it is private and personal to anyone.
